Glossybox: November Edition!

Heyy guys!
So my November Glossybox arrived last week! I've been testing out the products the last few days and I decided to tell you what I think!
I wasn't super impressed with the October box.. I was pretty bummed with it so I was a little worried this month's wouldn't be that good.. I was PLEASANTLY surprised!
I'm absolutely loving this month's box!

Vichy Idealia Life Serum: This was the first product that caught my eye! Very cute little packaging and nicely presented! However, they are VERY small. I received 3 mini samples of 3ml so altogether you go 9ml of product! This is a serum you put on before makeup that works as a smoothing & illuminating primer! It is very nice on the skin, very smooth and hasn't got a heavy, thick consistency! I didn't really notice any "illuminating" properties, but still a nice product!

Yves Rocher Collection Cacao: Cacao & Orange Hand Cream: Now I work as a makeup artist, so I am constantly using my hands!! My hands do get a little dry, but I don't have any severe cracked skin or anything major. So this hand cream appealed to me. It's just moisturizing & has an absolutely DIVINE smell!!! Oh my gosh, it smells like Terri's Chocolate Orange (one of my favourite kinds of chocolate!).
I've been carrying this around with me everyday !

Scholl Dry Skin Exfoliator: So this is one of those products that I would be kinda embarrassed to buy in the shops, which is silly I know, but I have a phobia of feet so I'm a little creeped out by products for feet haha! This is an exfoliator for rough skin on the soles of your feet. I find girls notice this more so than men, because woman wear heels etc which can cause the rough skin. I also work at a job where I stand all day so that doesn't help! So I was curious to see if this works! It says you have to use it 2-3 times a week! I have used it twice now and I don't notice a whole lot of difference, but my feet are particularly rough so I will keep using it and see if that changes :)

B.Smokey/ Soft, Blendable Kohl Eyeliner: So this is a 'black' pencil with a smudger on the end of it, however it comes out alittle more grey. It is quite a nice pencil! Nice texture, very smooth, nice colour pay-off, however its grey so I don't think I'll use it myself very much. Also I generally use gel liner now as its waterproof and doesn't need much topping up.

Emite Make Up Micronized Eyeshadow (Dams): This eyeshadow sounds so impressive with that nice doesn't it?!?!?! hahaha Well it is quite nice! It's a matte black eyeshadow, it is SILKY smooth ! Honestly, it is like velvet when you touch it! Basically the purpose of this eyeshadow is that it has NO FALL OUT! And I gotta hand it to Emite Makeup, I really didn't notice any fall out when using this! So it definitely does work in that respect. However, it retails at £16.80 (Euro price not given)!! No way would I pay that much for this small eyeshadow.

So everyone that's the November Glossybox!! Like I said I'm super impressed with this month's box, definitely a massive step up from last month's edition!! If any of you are interested in signing up to Glossybox or want more info feel free to check out there website here  http://www.glossybox.co.uk/

That's all from me today, but I'll talk to you soon!

Halloween Themed Haul! & My Halloween Decorations!

Heyy guys!
So, I went and did a little shopping this week and a lot of it was Halloween themed items I bought!!
I also decorated my bedroom with my own Halloween decorations!
I thought I'd share with you all the items I bought & how I decorate my box room for Halloween!

The first thing I bought was this ADORABLE Mickey Mouse skeleton t-shirt from Pennys for 8euro!
I feel like Pennys (or Primark as it's known in the UK) has really stepped up its game recently with their items. Their prices have gone up alittle bit to match this, but their still quite affordable compared to most highstreet stores :)

These super cute Bat shaped earrings I got from Forever21 for 4.50euro!
I loved these!! I love anything with bat motifs and I have 4 ear piercings, so I'm CONSTANTLY buying studded earrings! These were a great lil find for me :)

Of course, I had to stop by Inglot since I work for them now haha!
I wanted to pick up some new eyeshadows, so I bought 5 new eyeshadows and a new 10 palette (I now have 2 full 10 palettes & a full 5 palette!)

Swatches: (From left to right)
#327, #452, #14, #72, #362

I'm absolutely LOVING #452 atm! Those gorgeous burgundy red colours are really popular right now not just in eyeshadows, but in lip colours as well! A 5 square palette at Inglot costs 36euro! :)

I have a very big sweet tooth and I couldn't resist this chocolate ghost trick or treater lollipop!
It was DELISH! This was 1.50euro in the chocolate shop upstairs in Jervis !
Great if your looking for some cute treats for trick or treaters this year!

The first of my Halloween decorations were these little spooky tealight candle holders!
These were only 2euro in Dealz! Dealz is a "pound shop" in Dublin and it always has FAB cheap items! These were one of those great finds for me!

This is a close up of some Halloween tinsel I bought also in Dealz for 1.49euro! BARGAIN!
It is a mix of black and white tinsel with white skulls scattered throughout! Its a great decorations for your windows! Simple and eye catching in my opinion!

So this is my window decorations!
The Jack and Sally dolls I've had for years, they were bought in Disneyland Florida!
The Billy doll is from the movie SAW. It was a Limited Edition Living Dead Doll bought in Thorpe Park, London! And the hanging ghost pumpkin was bought YEARS AND YEARS ago in a Halloween store in America :)

So, I hope you all enjoyed my little Halloween themed haul and my little decorations!
Halloween is my favourite time of the year and I always try my best to celebrate it properly :)

Have a great Halloween guys !
& I'll talk to you soon!

First Impressions: MAC Viva Glam 1 Lipstick

Heyy guys!
So, I FINALLY got around to buying this lipstick! I have been dying to buy this, literally every time I pass by a MAC stockist in town I'm like "AHH WHY CAN I NO HAVE YOU?!?!"
Today I caved in and decided to treat myself (an expensive treat me thinks haha).

Rupaul is one of those people that genuinely inspires me, his style, his personality and his overall FABULOUSNESS is just magical! His quotes are something that always come to my mind in everyday situations such as "You better work, bitch!" and of course my favourite that even my boyfriend has quoted afew times (we watch Rupaul's Drag Race together :P)
"If you can't love yourself, how in the HELL are you gonna love somebody else?!"
So, when I heard MAC were relaunching the original Viva Glam lipstick that Rupaul created with them, I nearly died!

The colour is a really classic brown-ish red. I can definitely see why Rupaul choice this colour! It's really stunning and I think it's a pretty unique red. Its not like Russian Red, So Chaud or Ruby Woo (some of the most popular MAC reds).
This is what it looks like on my lips (I did a swatch on my hand, but it doesn't show the true colour)

(FYI, I would NEVER think to wear this type of red colour, so thank you Rupaul!)

It is a Matte finish, but I did notice it doesn't dry aswell as the other MAC Matte lipsticks I own. It does transfer and smudge quite easily.. which is kind of disappointing!
However, I would just throw some Lipcote (lipstick sealer) over it to combat that issue, so it is a minor flaw!

As always, the packaging is sleek and very stylish, however once again I have one flaw with it.
I was disappointed that there was no kind of ode to Rupaul on the packaging. All it says on the packaging is MAC and the bottom sticker just says "Viva Glam 1".
I would have thought they'd have atleast Rupaul's signature, picture or something somewhere on the packaging as it was his collaboration! That's just my opinion :)

So overall, I am loving this lipstick and I can DEFINITELY see myself wearing it ! I'm planning on using it in an upcoming tutorial on my youtube channel to stay tuned for that!
HOW MUCH WOULD I LUST AFTER THIS PRODUCT?
4/5
(lost 1 point for the slight lack of longevity and the packaging)

So, that's all from me guys for now
But I will talk to you all soon!

Lovee,
Shaunaa

Review (& Rage): Mudd Original Mask

Heyy guys!
So, I know I've been VERY QUIET this last month, for which I do apologize. I've been really all over the place starting work and sorting out all my time around that. I'm not used to have such a solid job where I'm working quite a lot, so its taken some getting used too. I've been trying to figure out ways to make time for family, friends, youtube etc. around my new job. I've not 100% figured it all out yet, but I'm doing my best haha!

Anyway, when I bought this product I knew I wanted to review it and after using it I wanted to do it EVEN MORE.
On Thursday night after work I popped into Boots to grab some daily essentials and I noticed this big 3 for 2 sections and what Irish person can resist a bargain?!? The first thing that caught my eye was this facemask. I've spoken about my love for facemasks in the past and I love to try new ones out!

So, this was the mask I picked up! A trial pack of the Mudd Original Mask, Deep Cleansing Pure Clay Formula (and yes I bought 3 in the special.. :( )
This mask claims to deeply cleanse the skin of hidden oils and grime. It also says after use skin feels smoother, softer and deeply cleansed and WILL NOT cause blemishes.
Sounds great right?
The next night I decided to whip out the facemask whilst I was relaxing and give it a go! I kept it on for roughly 15mins (give or take afew mins) as on the pack it suggests to keep it on for 10-15mins.
When I had the mask on, I noticed my skin felt very constricted.. and I just assumed that's what happens when the mask drys and that's how it worked.
As I was washing the mask off my face felt very smooth.... however, once my face was dried off I noticed my skin felt VERY dry, VERY tight and just generally uncomfortable. I assumed it was just the after effect so I put on my strongest moisturizer and went about my business. The next morning, I woke up with the first spot I've had in MONTHS! I had dry/rough patches on my face and my skin just felt so dry like it would crack!
Its now 2 days later and my skin STILL feels awful.
I genuinely feel like this mask has stripped my skin of ALL it's oils, not just "excess". I would definitely NOT recommend this mask, unless you have SEVERELY oily skin. For anyone whose combination. dry or even normal skinned (which I am), STEER CLEAR OF THIS!

HOW MUCH WOULD I LUST AFTER THIS PRODUCT?
0/5

Sorry to come back which just a unsatisfying review guys, but I had to warn you all! haha
Talk to you all soon!

The Truth About Thinspo & Eating Disorders.

Heyy guys :)
So, today I filmed a video that I found quite difficult to film. I tried filming it twice and just couldn't get my words out properly.. I also got quite worried about the reaction the video would get, but I decided I feel like its something that needs to be discussed in the open, as there is a real stigma attached to this kind of topic.

This video is about my experiences with thinspo/thinspiration and eating disorders. I developed an eating disorder at 13 and I wanted people to know how awful it can be..
I also want to try and help people get help BEFORE their problem becomes to much to handle..

I hope you respect my opinions in this video and if you don't like this topic then by all means don't watch the video. This video is for people who want this information or who need the advice.

To anyone out there who is experiencing this, I want you to know there is a way out and there IS help out there! Please seek it and don't be ashamed to ask for that help, it does NOT make you weak!

Mini Fashion Haul + Some Very BIG News!

Hey guys! So, I've been a little quiet the last 2 weeks on here and I am sorry about that.
I DO however have very good reasons which I will explain to you all now :) If you follow me on Instagram you will already know parts of this story ! (You can follow me  @shaunaashikarii )
Basically, I've been applying for jobs since I finished up in college in May. I really wanted a job in makeup, but I did apply to places like LUSH and other normal retail jobs, because while my dream job is makeup I had to be realistic and apply for other jobs.

I did go for an interview for LUSH 2 weeks ago (I did not get that job btw), BUT oddly enough that night when I came home from that particular interview I then got another phone call asking me to come in for another interview....FOR INGLOT! So as you can imagine, I started freaking out !
So, I had my interview for Inglot on Tuesday just gone, I was EXTREMELY NERVOUS to the point where I was shaking and hyperventilating hahah
I honestly came home preparing myself for bad news.
The next day I got a call from the lovely lady who conducted my interview and I can tell you.......
I GOT THE JOB! :D So, I am gonna be working in Inglot's NEW STORE just off Grafton Street in the coming weeks!! I am very excited, so completely overwhelmed and shocked that I got this opportunity and I am so very grateful for it !

Anyway! So, I took alittle shopping trip to congratulate myself! & Also to stock up on black clothing (Inglot staff and most MUAs are required to wear all black ! )

Maxi Dress: Forever21
Size: Small
Price: 17.75euro

Crop Tee: New Look Kids
Size: 14-15years
Price: 4.99euro

Flower Headband: Primark
Price: 3euro
(LOVE THIS, it's a much more understated flower piece than my 2 floral crowns!)

Hair Donut: New Look
Price: 3.99euro
(This is one of the smallest sizes they had as I got about 4-5inches cut off my hair so the bigger my hair can't cover the larger donut anymore!)

Tanning Mitt: Primark
Price: 3euro
(..Every girl's gotta have one haha)

So, thats all guys! When I said Mini Haul I ment MINI MINI!!! XD
I just wanted to show you guys the little bits I got and tell you my excited news!!
I will talk to you guys soon!

Glossybox: August Edition!

Heyy guys!
So my August Glossybox arrived this morning and I decided to show you guys what I got in this box and what I think of it!

For those of you who aren't familiar with Glossybox, its a subscription based monthly box with 5 products inside delivered to your door! They have a range of different payment options including 1 month subscription to 6 months! I've been getting it for the last couple of months and I have to stay its a really nice treat to get in the mail every month!
I haven't tried any of the products yet as I only got it today, but I'm just gonna let you know my first impressions of them :)

Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm: This is a multi-purpose balm for very dry and cracked skin. Eucerin is a trusted brand for people with very dry or irritated skin. I myself have suffered with Hyperkeratosis since I was a baby and Eucerin is one of the few brands I can use on my skin that doesn't cause a bad reaction!
I'm really looking forward to trying out this product!

Emite Make Up Eyelash Curler: (Sorry for the bad picture!) Emite is a brand I have never heard of before, but according to Glossybox their a  Swedish company who make tools for professional makeup artists. This is supposedly an eyelash curler that will work for all eye shapes. I don't normally use eyelash curlers, but I might give this one a go and it seems to come highly recommended.

TRESemme Platinum Strength 60 Second Treatment Shot: I have used this brand a good few times! From their Shampoos, conditioners and their treatments! I always found them to be pretty good and extremely affordable! This treatment claims to help the most damaged parts of your hair in 60seconds. I said this about the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle and I'll say it about this, NO TREATMENT can work effectively that fast! Its just impossible! I think if I'm gonna try this, I'd leave it in for ATLEAST 5minutes if not more.

Jelly Pong Pong 2 in 1 Eyeliner & Shadow: A few Glossyboxes ago, I got a Jelly Pong Pong mascara which I quite enjoyed, so I was quite excited to see another one of their products in this month's box! While I like the idea of this product, there's a couple of things I don't like. Multipurpose products are always handy to have around for quick fixes, but I don't know if I'd ever wear the same coloured eyeliner and shadow along (would be a little bit plain don't you think? xD). Also the product didn't seem to blend very well, which makes me think it wouldn't be any easier on the lid. The colour isn't something I'd wear really either. I think if this product was in a brighter colour or even a black I would like it a lot more, but the colour I got would be much more suited to a lip colour.

Oceane Make Up Remover Pen: Once again, Oceane is a brand I'd never heard of and according to Glossybox it's a company from Brazil! This product really fascinated me from the get go! It says its a mess and fuss free makeup touch-up OR removal solution and it comes with 3 refills, which is awesome and these kid of pen like products tend to waste VERY quickly! This would be great for fixing lipsticks that have bled or eyeliner that's dragged on the lower lashline! I definitely think I'd use this and I really hope it works!

So everyone, that's the products from my August Glossybox!! I'm quite impressed with it and I'll definitely give all of the products a go!! If you want to go check out Glossybox for yourself, check out there website here http://www.glossybox.co.uk/

That's all from me today, but I'll talk to you guys soon!

My Lime Crime Lipstick Collection!

Heyy guys! So, this is a product that I have used for quite awhile now and I'm constantly raving about them on my youtube channel and have used them in videos. This product is of course the LIME CRIME LIPSTICKS!

For those of you who want a little back story, Lime Crime was set up in 2008 by Doe Deere (she is the cutest woman ever, google image her!). Their products are CRUELTY-FREE and most of them are Vegan friendly too! How awesome is that?! As for their pricing, they are seriously affordable compared to other brands, specially when it comes to their lip products! A lime crime lipstick in euro is 12euro, whereas a MAC lipstick is 17.50euro! Which one would you choose? xD

So, I'm gonna show you the 7 lipsticks I have and the 1 Velvetine! I'm also gonna tell you the Pros AND Cons of these lipsticks :)

Left to Right: D'Lilac & Chinchilla

D'Lilac is by far the BEST LILAC LIPSTICK I've ever tried! I always wanted a Lilac/Lavender lipstick cause its my favourite colour and I love cute pastels! This was the second one I tried and  it is gorgeous!
It does require a lot of top ups though, because its such a light colour. It's still beautiful though!

Chinchilla is a grey colour with purple undertones. This is one of the only colours I haven't really had a chance to wear yet, but it is lovely so I don't want to take away from that! It's a lovely colour and I definitely think it'll be slightly longer lasting than some of the other colours as its darker and has a matte finish.

Left to Right: Airborne Unicorn & Poisonberry

Airborne Unicorn is one of the newest to my collection! It is a gorgeous purple colour with the most gorgeous pink hue! It is SUCH a unique colour, I literally have NEVER seen another colour like it ! If your looking for a great purple lipstick, this really is one you must check out!

Poisonberry was a lipstick I lusted after for MONTHS ever since I saw Rose Shock wear it in a photo on her fb page (Rose Shock is a massive makeup inspiration of mine!). It is the darkest purple Lime Crime offer. It is a dark purple colour with a slight magenta like hue from it. This colour has a constant shine so transfers quite badly (as in if you plan to kiss, DON'T wear this xD), but it really is beautiful. It reminds me of a lipstick I'd see a hot villain wearing ;)

Left to Right: My Beautiful Rocket & Babette

My Beautiful Rocket is this MEGA BRIGHT ORANGE! This was the second orange lipstick I tried and it is fab! Absolutely love it! Orange can be quite a scary colour to wear, but honestly it really does look great! It makes a nice change from red, which I wear a lot!

Babette is one of the newest releases from Lime Crime. It was released on July 15th and I got it at the start of this month :) I wanted it, because I wanted a nude lipstick with some sort of colour in it, as most nude lipsticks make me look like I'm dead since I am very pale xD I will admit, it looked slightly odd to me when I first put it on, because I'm not used to wearing that kind of pale colour, BUT within afew minutes I really liked it. I did put a gloss over it to make it look a little more me and I wore it in my latest video the Rainbow Tag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU1tDXHWWBw

Left to Right: Glamour 101 & Velvetine; Red Velvet

Glamour 101 is a deep, blue toned red lipstick! This could be compared to MAC's Russian Red, but a bit darker still. It really reminds me of a Dita Von Tease kind of colour! It's beautiful! This lipstick isn't quite a matte finish, but its not super shiny ! This is another colour that transfers pretty badly, but it's still absolutely stunning! Perfect for those girls who love their dark red lips!

Velvetine; Red Velvet is a true, matte red lip product! This was one of the FIRST Lime Crime product's I ever bought and it is STILL my favourite! It is my favourite red lip product of the current time and I have tried many!! I even did an entire video on How To Do Perfect Red Lips tutorial using this product http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNMGw-HqDlQ
And also, this product drys completely matte and LOCK TIGHT! It does not move!! What more could you ask for?!

To finish this post, I am gonna post up the list of Pros & Cons for these products, as I want this to be a completely honest review!

PROS:                                                                                        CONS:
Colour pigment is so strong                                                        Longevity is not that great, they do require
So many colours to chose from                                                  top ups (excluding: Velvetine)
Price range is quite affordable                                                    They transfer quite badly as they don't dry
Packaging is super cute                                                              completely matte (excluding: Velvetine)
The amount of lipstick you get is quite a lot.

HOW MUCH WOULD I LUST AFTER THIS PRODUCT?
4/5

Bargain Buster Small Haul: New Look!

Heyy guys!
So, as most of you who have watched my youtube channel would know,
I LOVE NEW LOOK! My sister worked there for quite a long time so I used to be in there all the time
and even now, I ALWAYS go in when I'm clothes shopping! The store has such a wide selection and its really affordable (not to mention their kids section is fab and fits me :P).

Basically there's a New Look near where I live in a place called Northside shopping centre and the WHOLE STORE has been on sale the last while! Literally everything is either 50% or more off! Crazy bargains!
So, I couldn't resist popping in and seeing if I could grab a few things. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of clothes left in my size (which is size 8 for anyone whose curious haha), but there was a lot of nice little jewelry and jewelry is something I wear EVERY DAY! So, I'll show you guys what I got, what the original retail price was and what I ended up paying! :)

This headband  is the first thing I picked up! Lately, I've been OBSESSED with Floral headbands & floral crowns! I just LOVE THEM and how dramatic they look! This is just a nice simple one for everyday :)
Original Retail Price: 4.99euro
Sale Price: 2euro!

I've been getting into wearing rings A LOT  more lately, ever since I started being able to find rings that ACTUALLY stay on me (I have VERY small hands xD). So finding this little sets of rings was a great stroke of luck! My favourite one is definitely the swallow ring, as I'm completely in love with swallows!
Original Retail Price: 7.99euro
Sale Price: 4euro!

Another ring I bought! What drew me to this one was the eye in the centre! I also love the shape on it, I just think it looks so interested! I haven't wore it yet, so I've yet to see how comfortable it is xD
Original Retail Price: 4.99euro
Sale Price: 2euro!

I have only ever seen one person actually wear one of these and it was my friend from college! I always remembered it, cause I just thought it looked so unique. So, when I saw this one I thought I might as well grab it while I have the chance. I have worn it once and I will say its a little big for my small hand, but it does look cool!
Original Retail Price: 5.99euro
Sale Price: 3euro!

Just for the record, IT WAS SO HARD TO GET A GOOD PICTURE OF THIS! >.<
This is a floral patterned hair clasp (large hair clip). I have been loving this the last few days just to throw my hair up on lazy days (of which I've been having many :P ).
Original Retail Price: 3.99euro
Sale Price: 2euro!

I decided to grab this snood style khaki green and black scarf. I know its summer, but it won't be soon!! xD
Original Retail Price: 5.99euro
Sale Price: 3euro!

So, this is the last thing I bought! This is a super cosy, peachy knitted jumper! I LOVE anything slouchy and this is the definition of slouchy! :D I bought this 3 sizes too big for me, too make sure it was super big and cosy (I bought a size 14 btw ). I also wore this jumper in my latest youtube video which was the Rainbow Tag if you wanna check it out here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU1tDXHWWBw

Okayy guys, so that's my bargain busting haul for you!
I hope you like the little pieces I picked up and look forward too my next post which will be a post on my Lime Crime lipstick collection !
